The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Monday, July 14 reveals a wounded Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers) will collapse into Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn) arms.
Also coming up, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will get lost. Plus, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will have another go at Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). And Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will defend her boss to Lily Winters (Christel Khalil).
Y&R spoilers tease Jack and Diane will get lost in part of the maze. Jack will quip they should have brought breadcrumbs with them. Diane will worry about their son and who he could be with.
Meanwhile, Phyllis will run into Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). She’ll say she thinks it’s funny how everyone’s angry being stuck there, except for them. She’ll point out Billy has his sights set on Cane as much she does and assumes he’s hoping Cane will help him get Chancellor back.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Amanda Asks Lily If She’s Just Using Damian
Billy will say he hasn’t even spoken with Cane yet. Then Sharon and Nick will show up and Billy will leave. “Cane can not give you any loyalty,” Sharon will tell her. “I’m looking out for you.” But Phyllis will say Sharon’s only looking out for Nick and his family.
Nick will say there’s more going on here, she has to see that. “He is gonna go down,” Nick will add. “And when that happens, you are gonna go down too.” Phyllis will take off and get lost in the maze. She’ll run into Jack and Diane and she’ll say the maze feels like a trap now. Jack will suggest they split up, so they’ll all head in different directions.
In the cocktail area, Lily and Damian will hold hands, as they walk in. Cane and Amanda will be there, enjoying some libations. “Well you two seem cheerful,” Cane will say to them. “Are you a couple now?” Lily will say yes they are.
“I guess I should thank you actually, because the romantic setting has really helped us get closer,” she’ll add. “I just really hope that you can accept it and move on.” Cane will say he wishes her the best. Then he’ll ask if he can talk to Damian privately.
Amanda will suggest to Lily they go for a walk, and she’ll tell Damian she’ll meet him in the train car. So, Amanda will ask Lily if she’s using Damian to get Cane to back off. Lily will say of course not. But Amanda will tell her all she wants is the truth.
“Fine, I will tell you the truth if you tell me what Cane is really after,” Lily will reply. Amanda will say she has a lot of respect for Cane and doesn’t get that Phyllis is the only one who’s giving him the benefit of the doubt. Nick and Sharon will come along and run into them.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Will Phyllis Think Cane Stabbed Him?
Sharon will tell Nick she forgot something in the train car and will catch up with him in the bar area. So, Nick will ask Amanda why she’s such a Cane apologist. They’ll argue until Nick says he’s going to the bar and he’ll take off.
As for Cane, he’ll pull out a special bottle of whiskey from the bottom of the bar. “Are you sharing, or keeping that one to yourself?” Damian will ask. “Why don’t we take a walk?” Cane will reply. They’ll head into the maze and Cane will pour them both a drink.
The two men will sit on a bench and Damian will take a big swig and then pour himself more. Cane will admit he can’t let go of his love for Lily but he’ll promise Damian he won’t pursue her. Damian will bring up The Count Of Monte Cristo and how he got revenge on his enemies. “All of this, it’s really all about revenge, isn’t it?”
But Cane will say it’s not about revenge, it’s about making things right. “This chapter is about redemption, not revenge.” They’ll walk around and end up in the garden area. Damian will get dizzy and ask Cane if he’s trying to poison him. But Cane will point out he’s drinking from the same bottle. He’ll close his eyes and say he’s feeling a little woozy himself.
Finally, the camera will pan out and viewers will see a gloved hand in the shadows, holding a knife. “I don’t feel right,” Damian will say. “Maybe there’s something in the booze after all.” Cane will say something’s wrong and they need to go back.
Damian will barely be able to stand, so Cane will prop him up. He’ll say he’s going to get help. But someone will throw the knife and it’ll plunge straight into Damian’s back. He’ll collapse into Cane’s arms and Phyllis will come around the corner, horrified by what she sees. But will she think Cane stabbed Damian?
